How it all began
The story of SensoryWind began from a place of empathy and innovation. Our founder, Feiyu Wu, was deeply affected when her grandfather, a lifelong farmer, suffered a stroke that confined him indoors. As a farmer, his life had always been vastly connected to the rhythm of nature. He found peace in the fields embraced by the blowing wind, chirping birds, and an open sky. Now, he was far away from the world that had once brought him such joy.
During rehabilitation, he was bound to a sterile indoor environment, and the monotonous exercises offered little relief from the stress of being separated from the outside. His spirit was drained and eventually, he lost hope. Feiyu decided that she could not just stand by and watch her grandfather longing for what he had lost – this was the moment when the vision of SensoryWind took its shape.
Feiyu wanted to create a way for people like her grandfather, confined to the indoors and disconnected from nature, to experience the comfort, relaxation, and therapy that the natural world can offer. Today, we are proud to have broadened our mission within the health and fitness industry.
Our vision
SensoryWind was created for anyone who feels disconnected from nature, whether due to illness, disability, a busy lifestyle, or accessibility. We are dedicated to harnessing the power of nature to improve well-being. Our mission is to reconnect people with the outdoors, even when they can not physically experience it, by bringing sight, sound, and sensation of nature indoors. As we believe that nature can heal and restore us, it should be accessible to everyone.
